Fairmitre’s timeless elegance conservatories are individually designed and manufactured from hardwood Meranti as standard or from other assorted timbers ranging from Scandinavian softwood Redwood to European Oak. We are not restricted by set sizes, styles or shapes – our conservatories are tailor made and built completely by our own dedicated, highly skilled craftsmen, and as our timber conservatories are constructed in our own factory fully under our control, we maintain an uncompromisingly high standard.
The flexibility of our system enables us to produce conservatories of the highest technical specification and quality, from the simplest lean too, to the most complex designs. The flexibility in Fairmitre’s manufacturing processes means that we can also create the clean contemporary designs that work well with modern properties. One of the particular features of contemporary conservatory design is the use of sliding folding doors. (Which are also known as bi-fold doors). See our gallery for examples of our work.
Strength, simplicity of frame construction and architecturally designed roofs are combined to produce stylish and durable conservatories to suit all tastes.
Our own hardwood roofing system has fully moulded timbers traditionally birds mouthed onto the adjoining ring beam. The outside of the roof is fully maintenance free with Twinfix aluminium capping in white or brown with the option to powder coat including all plastic gutters to match your conservatory chosen colour. The Exitex crest and finial in plastic and guttering is based with deep flow Marley classic with down pipes leading to provided soak away.
All our conservatories are fitted with a code four lead seal.
As standard the roof includes 25mm Bronze tinted polycarbonate achieving a U-Value of 1.7 W/m2K; other polycarbonate options are available along with glass roof options. 70-80% of all conservatories leave our factory with 24mm 4x16x4 Pilkington Active blue Optitherm solar control glass roof with reduced glare, U-V protection and self cleaning properties. Pilkington’s Active is achieving a U-Value of 1.2 W/m2K with Argon gas fill.
Due to some of the size and designs of the conservatories we may need to fit a “Tie Bar” to the roof structure to improve structural capabilities of the building.
