Timber is naturally warm and beautiful– a natural insulator and easy to live with: designed and manufactured to your individual requirements. Timbers require only a fraction of the energy used to produce materials like PVC-u and aluminium and is therefore one of the most energy-efficient materials available.

Using the patented Fairmitre system, each frame can be made to measure in a wide variety of different styles. They can be produced in hardwood Meranti, softwood Redwood and other assorted ranges such as American/European Oak and Iroko; vac treated and base-coated with an option to have a full factory finish.

Manufactured at Fairmitre, wood stands the test of time. Nothing rivals its beauty and tradition. We understand wood, and our production methods are optimised.

Environmental Matters

We are committed to the numerous environmental schemes, and only use timber from renewable environmentally friendly resources.

The Finishing Touch

As an option, Fairmitre Joinery can be supplied factory coated with Teknos Aquatop water based finishes to ensure long, low maintenance, life.

Our full factory finish option is very popular as the timber needs little attention for 3-5 years for translucent finishes and 5-8 years for solid colours.

Prior to the product being put together the frames are sprayed using a unique water-based paint available in any RAL colour such as browns, creams, greens and blues.

The coating system is flexible allowing it to adapt to the natural movement of the timber through-out the seasons, and micro-porous to permit moisture vapour to pass through the coating.

The coating is water based to protect our environment and minimise impact of the products on our natural surrounding.
